In the comment Kathy left in the post below, she asked about fonts. I use fonts that came with my editing software, but I've collected many from around the web too.
Some places where you can get free fonts are:
One place, among several, to buy fonts usually running around $3.00 is:
Unique fonts used in your blog banner and sidebar can convey the feel you want your blog to have.
You can customize your post font if you get into the html of your blog and re-write that portion, but be warned, if it is an uncommon font....ie. did not come as a basic font with a popular software program....that other people may not have installed on their computer, they will not see it on their screen the same way you do. It will default to a more common font such as arial, verdana, trebuchet, times new roman, etc. and all your hard work will be for naught.
Of course, anything you format in your photo editing program and save as a picture, such as banners, and the "photo" above will show the font as you designed it, because it is a picture.
Now, go get some fonts and have fun :)

Now that is fun!! Those colourful, quirky, little fonts give me a happy feeling!
Thanks Debi!
PS - I know the feeling with cooking for just the two after a lifetime of cooking for seven - 4 of them hearty eating boys. But I find that Roger and I are enjoying preparing the meals together now - we don't have hungry tired little ones waiting, so we can take more time. Add a bottle of wine into the mix and I have to admit, there are some perks to the empty nest :)
