EDITED: If you try the Double Chocolate Brownie Cookie recipe to make ice cream sandwiches, DO NOT ASSEMBLE and FREEZE. Assemble just before eating...that way your cookie will stay soft and chewy!!
A few months ago we started the tradition of having Jenna's family for dinner every Wednesday night. I love having them in our home and enjoy the fun and fellowship and sharing we as we sit around the dinner table. Sometimes it's a full blown meal; sometimes it's just pizza, but I usually try to make a special dessert.
Leah mentioned that it might be fun to make the ice cream sandwiches that Martha Stewart featured on her show today.......so.......we did. I must admit we didn't make the home made mint ice cream....we substituted Bryers, but we did make the yummy Double Chocolate Brownie Cookies and sandwiched the mint ice cream between them....
I haven't tasted the finished product yet, but the batter was................ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm...very very tasty!!

I'm feeling a little under the weather today, so I really don't have a long post....time for a little r & r. One thing I have been mulling over, even more than usual lately, is what people do with their time. I find myself often wondering just exactly what people are doing day in and day out, hour by hour. And I have had to ask myself what I do with the time that's been given me. More importantly, what should I be doing with my time?
One thing I learned in my photography class is that a great photo is made with skill, vision, and intention. And it seems to me that a great life is to be lived the same way. I have been given so many hours worth of time allotted in daily/hourly increments free to do what I will with them. What will the fruit of all those many many many hours be when my time on this earth is gone?
Oh, how we all need vision, for without it we live scattered lives...
I have been feeling this way lately....lacking focus...scattered...miserable...
But one thing that comforts me greatly is that the Lord has an agenda
for my life...things He wants me to do....that were planned even before
I was born...I am asking Him to continue to reveal His vision for my life to me and to help me spend my
time wisely in pursuit of fulfilling it.
So, how do you spend your time? Do you have a specific vision(s)? Are
your hours and days spent with intention to see that vision fulfilled?
Are you aware of the skills you have and are you working towards
getting skills that you need to fulfill the vision?
Have a great weekend...
