I've lately been considering how grateful I am for those people who have graciously and generously invested in my life. It's not that I 've never thought about this before, but since our family has been meeting together every morning and studying A Blueprint for Life, I seem to be more focused on what has transpired in my own life to bring me closer to realizing my unique purpose. Henry Blackaby tells a story in Experiencing God about his buying a blue Schwinn bicycle for his son as a Christmas gift, storing it away, and then proceeding to convince his son he needed and wanted a blue Schwinn bicycle. When Christmas rolled around, guess what his son asked for? I like that story, because I think that is how God leads us. But there are people with skin on, just like you, who don't have the complete picture on the jigsaw puzzle box lid of their own lives, much less mine, who have selflessly taken time to invest in my life. By working at building and tending a relationship with me you have observed my heart along with my God-given gifts and interests and have given of yourselves through time, energy, talent, and money to encourage and equip me for my "only-me" purpose. You have seen the opportunity to make an investment and acted on it. And so, today I just want to say, "Thank You," for enabling me to complete a part of my puzzle. In so doing, I am most certain you have completed a part of your own!
